Proposal: Removal of existing brick wall and replace with 2m wooden fencing

Committee View: Objected on 25 November on the grounds that it is out of keeping with the neighbouring properties who have kept the originally built low wall. It was agreed that a two metre fence was not appropriate for a corner plot with a road junction next to it and would not be in line with the open plan feel to the development.

The original proposal for a 2m fence along the boundary was considered to result in significant harm to the character and appearance of the area. A revised scheme was submitted with the inclusion of a hedge along the boundary with a fence inside, with the fence along Parklands Way stepped down to a lower level.
