Summer is here and Harleston is a fantastic place to explore at this time of year. There is plenty going on from holiday programmes running at the High School, football courses running on the Football Pitch at the Recreation Ground to ‘Knit and Natter’ in the Leisure Centre.
At the Town Council meeting held on the 27th July one of our Councillor vacancies was filled by the co-option of Mo MBA, he joins us with a passion for the community and we are sure will be a wonderful addition. We sadly also accepted the resignation of Michael Hardy who has worked diligently for the Council for the last 3 years being part of the Amenities and Planning Committees as well as valued member of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group. We wish him well for the future.
We may only be in August, but the Christmas Lights Committee is already getting ready for Christmas 2022. More information to follow.
The bird nesting season is upon us, and it is recommended that vegetation work (tree or hedge cutting) or site preparation be done outside of this period.
