On Sunday 18th September at 6pm there will be services of Remembrance and Reflection, with a minute’s silence at St. John’s Church Harleston and St. Mary’s Church Redenhall, the night before the State Funeral.
Everyone is invited to attend. Flowers will be left at the service in St. John’s Church Harleston by Councillor Trevor Graham (Chairman) on behalf of the Town Council.
You are also invited to take part in a National Moment of Reflection which is to be marked by a one-minute silence this will take place at 8pm on Sunday 18 September, the night before the State Funeral.
The silence can be marked privately at home, with friends and family, out on doorsteps or the street with neighbours.
Community groups, clubs and other organisations across the country are also encouraged to take part and observe the one-minute silence.

Monday 19 September 2022 is the day of the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and it has been declared as bank holiday for the nations.
The following areas in and around the Town will be closed on this day: Harleston Community Leisure Facility including the Gym, Vehicle access to the Recreation Ground, Tennis Courts, Football Pitch and the Public Toilets in the Town car park sited at the Co-Op.
