đź“Ś We are thrilled to announce a new initiative to boost transparency and community engagement: we will now be sharing our meeting agendas on our Facebook page. Your Town Council remains committed to open governance.
🚌 During a recent discussion, we discussed the proposal of upgrading the Broad Street bus stop to ‘Gold’ standard and the town council unanimously agreed to proceed with the scheme. Detailed specifications will be determined soon. We also deliberated whether to retain or replace the existing bus shelter. Having considered many factors including functionality, accessibility and aesthetics, a show of hands indicated a preference for replacing the current shelter, with the support of seven Councillors.
🔜 Rest assured, while we’ve decided to proceed with the ‘Gold’ standard bus stop, specific details are still in the works. I can confirm that Norfolk County Council will consult with the conservation team at South Norfolk District Council regarding the bus stop proposal. This is standard procedure when making changes within a conversation area.
