Tender opportunity for management of recreation and leisure facilities
In January 2026, we launched a tender opportunity for the future management of Harleston Recreation and Leisure facilities.
Experienced leisure operators were invited to express their interest through our procurement process. The closing date for this expression of interest has now past. We are currently reviewing the submissions before confirming our next steps.
Please be assured that the leisure centre, gym and all current facilities will continue running as normal throughout this process.
The tender marks an important step in securing a sustainable and high-quality future for the leisure centre, which plays a vital role in supporting the health, wellbeing and recreation of the Harleston community. A public consultation will take place in Spring, ensuring everyone is kept up-to-date and has the opportunity to engage as plans progress.
Harleston Town Council manages the Memorial Leisure Centre, which includes the Harleston Gym, other leisure facilities and room hire options.
