NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the A140 Scole Bypass from its junction with C592 Ipswich Road for 3500m southwards to its junction with C582 Diss Road in the PARISH OF SCOLE because of NCC resurfacing works.
The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) between 19:00 on 8th to 06:00 on 9th October 2021 for the duration of the works expected to be about 11 hours within the period.
Alternative route is via: A140 Dickleburgh Bypass/Ipswich Road/The Street/Norwich Road/Ipswich Road, A47 Trunk Road Norwich Southern Bypass, A146 Loddon Road/Norwich Road/Loddon Bypass/Beccles Road, A143 Yarmouth Road/Broome Bypass/Bungay Road/Old Railway Road/Bungay Road/Harleston Bypass/Brockdish-Needham Bypass/Scole Road/Bungay Road/Lower Street/Bungay Road/Scole-Stuston Bypass (Newton Flotman, Ashby St Mary, Caistor St Edmund and Bixley, Kirby Bedon, Scole, Alpington, Swainsthorpe, Hales, Yelverton, Wortwell, Chedgrave, Framingham Pigot, Loddon, Sisland, Needham, Redenhall with Harleston, Ellingham, Pulham Market, Alburgh, Saxlingham Nethergate, Dickleburgh and Rushall, Denton, Tivetshall, Burston and Shimpling, Brockdish, Holverston, Earsham, Wacton, Broome and Oakley, Hellington, Trowse with Newton, Bungay, Stoke Holy Cross, Stockton, Stuston, Broome, Kirby Cane, Tasburgh, Long Stratton, Keswick and Intwood, Thurton, Bergh Apton, Ditchingham, Gillingham).
(If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order).
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
