Christmas Market & Lights Switch On in Harleston – Saturday 4th December 2021
Christmas is fast approaching and the Christmas Lights committee, Harleston’s Future and many other volunteer groups have been preparing for this year’s festivities. There will be market stallholders and entertainment which is sure to draw residents and visitors to the town on the day. Christmas is a great time for business and we hope that you will help to make the day a great success by staying open all day.
The Christmas Market will start once the stalls have set up and will continue until after the lights switch on which will take place at 17.30hrs.
To help you plan your deliveries please be advised that there will be road closures on the day and only emergency vehicles will be able to use the roads during the closure period.
From 7.30hrs to 19.00hrs – The Market Place and Exchange Street will be closed to traffic.
From 14.40hrs to 19.00hrs – Church Street; London Road (between Exchange Street and Church Street); The Thoroughfare (between Church Street and Bullock Fair Close) will also be closed to traffic.
To help in our preparations we would be grateful if you would complete the form which will be hand delivered to you soon so you can let us know if you will be open the whole day and also if you are willing to donate a gift or gift voucher for the raffle – we rely on the proceeds of this and other fundraising events to help maintain the lights and improve the display year on year.
A member of the committee will call around to collect your form and gift (if you are able to donate one) during week commencing Monday 15th November 2021
