Twelve Days of Christmas Best Decorated Shop Window Competition 2021
It was really great to see so many of the shops in town taking part in the competition and embracing the theme of the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’. The entries ranged from the beautiful to the bizarre, with lots of topical takes and alternative presents on offer for the full twelve days.
The first place went to Coopers, with their intricate and highly original take on the traditional theme. Was that Alan Partridge in the tree and what are those four penguins doing on the phone? Study this window closely.
The two runners up were Enchanted Corner and Bargain Bathrooms. Both had their own take on the presents. In the Enchanted Corner the Grinch had morphed into a tree, with an interesting list of presents to follow. In Bargain Bathrooms, who knew plumbing could be so festive and can you spot the local faces?
A big thank you from Harleston’s Future and well done to all – the displays really brought a smile to the judge’s face on an otherwise cold and damp December day and I am sure that everyone will enjoy them.
