The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Harleston were a great success thanks to everyone who helped organise and participate. It was great to see such a large turnout at the Annual Town Meeting held in May, and to hear about all the successes of the different groups and associations in the Town.
At the Town Council’s May Annual Meeting, Cllr T Graham was re-elected as Chair and Cllr M Scade as Vice Chair. Local elections are held every four years, and the next one will be in May 2023.
We are pleased to announce that the children’s play area at the Recreation Ground has been resurfaced just in time for the summer.
The entrance road to Broad Street car park will be closed all day on Thursday 30th June due to remedial work.
The bird nesting season is upon us, and it is recommended that vegetation work (tree or hedge cutting) or site preparation be done outside of this period.
