NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the following
A. The following will be closed to vehicles at the following times
1) London Road/The Thoroughfare from its junction with Magpie Court for 207m northwards to its junction with Bullock Fair Close between 18/07/2022 and 14/08/2022
2) Swan Lane from its junction with Weaves Croft for 179m eastwards to its junction with The Thoroughfare between 18/07/2022 and 14/12/2022
3) The Thoroughfare from its junction with Church Street for 146m northwards to its junction with Bullock Fair Close between 15/08/2022 and 7/12/2022
4) Redenhall Road (northbound only) from its junction with The Thoroughfare for 40m northwards to its junction with Station Road between 7/11/2022 and 11/11/2022
5) London Road/The Thoroughfare from its junction with Magpie Court for 293m northwards to its junction with Redenhall Road between 08/12/2022 and 14/12/2022
6) Church Street from its junction with Old Market Place for 81m south-westwards to the junction of London Road/The Thoroughfare between 08/12/2022 and 14/12/2022
B. Temporarily imposing a one-way restriction (northbound) on the:-
7) Mendham Lane/Old Market Place from its junction with Briar Road for 428m north-westwards to its junction with Broad Street between 18/07/2022 and 14/08/2022 and between 08/11/2022 and 14/12/2022
in the TOWN OF REDENHALL WITH HARLESTON
The roads 1) to 6) will be temporarily closed (except for access) and road 7) will be temporarily subject to a one-way restriction (northbound) from 18th July to 14th December 2022 only while signs indicating the closure are in place, for the duration of the works, expected to be about 150 days within the period.
It is suggested that if accessing amenities on the South side of town that access can be obtained via Needham Road/London Road from the A143 and for the North side of town access from Redenhall Road from the Redenhall roundabout on the A143.

The Traffic orders only relate to the roads and not footpaths. The Highways team has advised that any footpaths that may be closed as part of the refurbishment works and/or restrictions, that it will only ever be one side of the road (so the adjacent footpath will be available) and should that not be available provisions will be made for any residents that use disability aids.
