NOTICE OF MEETING
You are cordially invited to attend a meeting of Redenhall with Harleston Town Council’s Leisure, Amenities, and Finance Committee, which will be held at the Social Room on Wednesday, 14th May 2025, at 6:30 pm to consider the business detailed below.
Members of the press and public are welcome to attend. There may be an opportunity for public participation during agenda item 4.

Opening of the Meeting
The Chair of the Town Council will lead the meeting until the committee chairs assume their respective roles.
1. To receive and consider accepting apologies from members unable to attend.
a. Motion: To accept the apologies received from members unable to attend.
2. To receive any declarations of members’ pecuniary and/or non-pecuniary/other interests pertaining to items on the following agenda, and any dispensations granted in respect of business to be discussed
a. Motion: To note any declarations of pecuniary and/or non-pecuniary interests, acknowledge any dispensations granted, and consider any requests for further dispensations as appropriate.
3. To receive the minutes of the previous committee meeting and discuss their accuracy. (Refer to the draft minutes available on the website)
a. Motion: To approve the minutes of the Leisure, Amenities, and Finance Committee meeting held on Wednesday, 9th April 2025, as a true and accurate record.
4. To consider a resolution under Standing Orders 3e to suspend the meeting to hear comments from members of the public on items to be discussed on the agenda.
a. Motion: To agree to suspend the meeting under Standing Orders 3e to allow members of the public to make comments on agenda items, with a designated time of 20 minutes for public participation, and individual members of the public allowed a maximum of 5 minutes each, unless directed otherwise by the Chairman.
5. To note that the Finance Committee met separately from the combined committee meeting in order to scrutinise the end of year finances

9. To receive a report on the success and possible continuation of the Thai Orchid food vendor operating from the Recreation Ground Car Park on Thursday evenings.
a. Motion: To agree for the Thai Orchid to continue and for a further review to take place in April 2026.
10. To receive a report regarding the use of the Recreation Ground and Car Park for Nordic Walking sessions
a. Motion: To agree that the group are able to use the Recreation Ground and car park for the sessions.

a. Motion: The Amenities Committee recommend that Redenhall with Harleston Town Council approve the launch of a new, twice-weekly market—held every Wednesday and Saturday—beginning 28th June 2025, to be delivered in partnership with a Market Organiser and at no cost to the Council.
15. To receive a request from the Historical Society to use the Market Place on Saturday 13th September.

19. To receive a report regarding the refurbishment of the Public Toilets detailing the replacement of the outer doors to enable reinstatement of the automatic closure system.
