We are thrilled to share some fantastic news with the residents of our town. Your voices have been heard, and action is being taken to address the concerns regarding parking on Broad Street.
After receiving numerous comments regarding the chevron parking on Broad Street and the obstruction caused by cars encroaching onto the pavement, we are pleased to inform you that steps are being taken to improve the situation.
In response to these concerns, the County Council has decided to temporarily close the chevron parking on Broad Street from the 11th to the 13th of March 2024. During this time, the installation of wheel stops in the parking spaces will take place.
These wheel stops will effectively prevent cars from overhanging onto the pavements, ensuring safe passage for pedestrians and allowing residents to access their houses without hindrance.
