You may have heard or read in the media about a Council Tax scam taking place, whereby residents receive a letter from Norfolk County Council (NCC) with a fake QR code linking to a fake payment portal.
Norfolk County Council does not collect Council Tax, nor does Redenhall with Harleston Town Council. So if you receive a letter of this kind, please do not scan the QR code. Please ignore the letter and bin it.
NCC has confirmed that they are looking into the scam with their Trading Standards team.
