Welcome to our first community newsletter, it is our intention to provide updates to local residents regarding our development to keep you up to date and to ensure the development is delivered with minimal impact to you by providing information regarding forthcoming events and activities.
General Development Update
Lovell have recently been carrying out enabling works on the development, which consist of works that will enable us to make a start on the construction of the dwellings.
These works consist of making the public right of way safe, setting up for the demolition works, generating soil from the basin areas and erecting fencing to make the site secure. We anticipate to make a start on the construction of the dwellings w/c 18/07/2023, with our full site accommodation being set up in September 2023. Originally, the demolition works were programmed to start prior to the enabling works commencing, but we had to push this back to start in line with the enabling works. This is because there was a delay in getting the electricity disconnected from the barn.
The team have attached on the fencing notifications stating when works are starting on Mendham Lane/Fullers Road and when the Lidl/Care Home will be commencing.
Full contact details of the Lovell site team will be available once the permanent team is established on site. Site contact details will be available on the site fencing with contact numbers available.
Dangers of Building Sites
We would like to remind our neighbours of how dangerous building sites can be.
We will of course ensure the perimeter of our site is secured at all times, and we will eliminate on site hazards where possible. However, we would kindly request parents to inform their children of how dangerous it is to enter a building site without permission, in particular when we are not working.
There will be numerous vehicle movements around our site and our site entrance will be used throughout the day. The site construction access is currently off the roundabout. Please take extra care if you are passing the entrance, please follow direction from our gateman and please utilise our designated pedestrian routes should you need to visit the site office.
