As you know (I hope) we are planning an event on March 11th to celebrate all that is Harleton I wanted to give you an update as to where we are up to with our plans for the day. We are still working on lots of details and will let you know when we do!
We are planning a parade in the Town roughly from midday of our local community groups; the road will be shut from 11am onwards as we feel this is the best way to keep everyone safe and for you to arrange your deliveries / collections etc. The theme of the day is Past Present & Future, we are going through the archives looking for shop photos from the past and we are hoping that we can enlarge them and you can display them in your windows if you are happy to do so. We have asked the High School if they can get their students to draw a picture of what your shops and businesses may look like in the future, these could also be displayed.
The Church is open for the nature recovery initiative and will be attended by Norwich Museum for object handling.
We have street performers, lots of family entertainment, bubbles, music, and hopefully finishing off with a band, end time roughly 6pm. Any suggestions and ideas from you would still be welcome and I can always pop in and see you.
