Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014

The Town Council received a letter dated August 1, 2023, regarding the Proposed Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

Following discussions held on September 27, 2023, Redenhall with Harleston Town Council provided the following responses:

  1. Agreement to apply the proposed PSPO across the district: Yes.
  2. Agreement with the proposed regulatory controls in the draft PSPO: Yes.
  3. Agreement with the proposed period of operation of the draft PSPO: Yes, with a preference for seven-day operation.

The PSPO application is currently advancing through District committee meetings, with an anticipated decision at the Full Council in December. If the Order is approved, a mandatory 6-week objection period, as mandated by legislation, will ensue. This process may lead to implementation in February, pending the installation of required signage.
