Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (STRO11860) affecting the Redenhall with Harleston Footpath 38 from its junction with U76598 Candlers Lane for 168m westwards (the “Footpath”) in the Town of Redenhall with Harleston owing to an unstable wall along the footpath. The Order continues the provisions of the Notice dated 15th November 2024 that the Footpath will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from 30th November 2024 to 11th February 2025 (previously 15th to 29th November 2024), but may continue to be closed until the 14th May 2025 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

The closure is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the footpath or both.
The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 14th May 2025 without further notice.

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 6 months from the date the Order is effective.
A person who contravenes, or who uses the Footpath in contravention of the closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
