Earlier this year, we asked you to suggest names for new roads being built on the Orbit development, off Spirketts Lane. We received several formal requests for family members to be remembered through road names, and we’re very pleased to announce that these have been successfully acknowledged by Orbit and Norfolk County Council.
The new roads in the development will be named:
Alderman Crescent – in honour of Alderman Sidney Taylor
Dean Place – in honour of Ken Dean
Lodge Drive – in honour of Ian Lodge
Herrington Close – in honour of Albert Herrington
(The families of the named people have been notified separately).
Other suggestions that have been agreed by NCC are Barleycroft Mews, Hawthorn Rise and Kingfisher Crescent.
Thank you again to everyone who took the time to share their suggestions and help celebrate local history and community.
