Temporary closure of Short New Road in the Parish of Woodton because of Anglian Water defect remedial work (STRO7255)

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the B1527 Short New Road from its junction with C371 Shotesham Road for 401m southwards to its junction with C878 Hempnall Road in the PARISH OF WOODTON because of Anglian Water defect remedial works.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 28th to 30th November 2022 for the duration of the works expected to be about 3 days within the period.

Alternative route is via: B1527 Hempnall Road/Bungay Road/Hempnall Road, A140 Norwich Road/The Street/Dickleburgh Bypass/Scole Bypass, A143 Scole & Stuston Bypass/Bungay Road/Lower Street/Bungay Road/Scole Road/Brockdish & Needham Bypass/Harleston Bypass/Bungay Road/Old Railway Road/Bungay Road, B1332 Norwich Road, B1527 Church Road (Bedingham, Hedenham, Burston and Shimpling, Bungay, Woodton, Ditchingham, Wortwell, Needham, Redenhall with Harleston, Pulham Market, Tivetshall, Brome and Oakley, Stuston, Alburgh, Dickleburgh and Rushall, Denton, Earsham, Wacton, Long Stratton, Scole, Brockdish).

(If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order).

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
