Harleston Celebration Event 11th March 2023
Temporary Restriction of Traffic Movement
Norfolk County Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the staging of the Harleston Celebration Event, they have made a Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic (except for emergency and pedestrian access) for 10 hours from 09:00 to 18:15 on 11th March 2023 on the following roads in the TOWN OF REDENHALL WITH HARLESTON –
(i) London Road: from the junction with Exchange Street to the junction with Church Street;
(ii) Church Street: from the junction with Old Market Place to the junction with The Thoroughfare;
(iii) The Thoroughfare: from the junction with Church Street to the Junction with Swan Lane.
The Order will come into effect on Saturday 11th March 2023 and will remain in force for 10 hours. The roads will be temporarily restricted (except for emergency and pedestrian access) from 09:00 to 18:15 on 11th March 2023 for the duration of the Harleston Celebration Event.
Restriction on traffic will be enforced until normal traffic flow can be maintained following the Event. Where appropriate during the period of the closure temporary suspension of existing permanent Traffic Orders may be imposed.
Alternative route will be via: London Road, Wilderness Lane, Swan Lane, The Thoroughfare, Broad Street, Old Market Place, Mendham Lane, Spirketts Lane, Shotford Road, London Road.
The promoter of the event is Harleston Town Council.
A copy of the Order and a plan may be viewed online at https://norfolk.citizenspace.com/. Copies may also be available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich during normal office hours. However, since the pandemic staffing levels may have been reduced and viewing online would be recommended.
