Redenhall with Harleston has been informed that Norfolk County Council intends to carry out essential footway reconstruction works on the Shotford Road. This work is being done to help resolve the poor footway condition and make it safer. The works should start on Monday 1st May 2023 and are expected to take approximately 5 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Disruption will be minimised as far as possible and access to properties within the limits of the works will be maintained. The works will require the footpath to be closed to pedestrians. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout, with barriers in place where necessary to help keep pedestrians safe.
Shotford Road will remain open under temporary traffic lights for the duration of the works to minimise impact on residents.
Norfolk County Council will be sending public information notices to local businesses and residents to help make people aware in advance and signage will also be displayed on site before the work gets underway.
