Upcoming Temporary Closure of Church Road in the Parish of Woodton to facilitate Norfolk County Council footway maintenance and patching works. (REF NO. STRO9745)

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (STRO9745) affecting the B1527 Church Road from its junction with B1332 Norwich Road for 627m westwards in the PARISH OF WOODTON to facilitate Norfolk County Council footway maintenance and patching works.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 9th to 13th October 2023 for the duration of the works expected to be about 5 days within the period.

Alternative route is via: B1527 Church Road/Short New Road/Hempnall Road/Bungay Road/Mill Road/Hempnall Road, A140 Norwich Road/The Street/Ipswich Road/ Dickleburgh Bypass/Scole Bypass, A143 Scole Stuston Bypass/Lower Street/Bungay Road/Scole Road/Brockdish Needham Bypass/High Road/Harleston Bypass/Old Railway Road/Bungay Road, B1332 Norwich Road (Scole, Wortwell, Bedingham, Hedenham, Redenhall with Harleston, Needham, Topcroft, Pulham Market, Alburgh, Dickleburgh and Rushall, Denton, Tivetshall, Burston and Shimpling, Brockdish, Earsham, Wacton, Brome and Oakley, Bungay, Morningthorpe and Fritton, Woodton, Stuston, Hempnall, Long Stratton, Ditchingham).

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
