You are cordially invited to attend a meeting of Redenhall with Harleston Town Council which will be held at the Council Offices, Memorial Leisure Centre on Wednesday 28th February 2024 at 7pm to consider the business detailed below.

Members of the press and public are welcome to attend – there will be an opportunity for public participation agenda item 6.

1. Welcome

2. To receive and consider accepting apologies from members unable to attend.

3. To receive and note any declarations of members’ pecuniary and/or non-pecuniary/other interests pertaining to items on the following agenda, to note any dispensations granted in respect of business to be discussed and to consider any requests for dispensations.

4. To receive and approve the minutes of the Town Council meeting on Wednesday 24th January 2024 (copy herewith)

5. To note progress on decisions made at the last meetings of Council (copy herewith)

6. To consider a resolution under Standing Orders 3e to suspend the meeting to receive reports from County and District Councillors, and to hear comments from members of the public on items to be discussed on the agenda (the period of designated time for public participation is 20 minutes unless directed by the Chairman of the meeting and individual members of the public are entitled to speak for a maximum of 5 minutes each).

a. Town Clerk to address concerns to the County Councillor about street lighting on Redenhall Road

7. Co-Option

a. New candidate to introduce themselves to Members if they wish to supplement their written information and explain why they seek to become a Member of the Council. (This introduction should be informal and should not exceed 5 minutes). (Copy herewith)
b. Existing Councillors are allowed a maximum of ten minutes (per candidate) to ask prospective candidates any clarification questions.
c. Consider co-opting a candidate for Council vacancy conduct a confidential ballot after candidate presentations, with the Chairman or Clerk counting written votes. If appointed, the new Councillor signs the Declaration of Acceptance of Office.

8. Discuss Town Clerk’s proposal on engaging with the County Councillor regarding London Road Parking Restrictions and decide on its approval (Copy herewith)

9. To receive the Town Clerk’s update report on the Town Improvement Scheme (Copy herewith)

10. To receive the Town Clerk’s response from the Police on anti-social behavior with cars on the industrial estate.

11. To receive and note the contents of months 9 and 10 Income and Expenditure report and formulate and agree any questions for the Finance Committee. (Copy herewith)

12. To receive and note the contents of month 9 and 10 Bank Reconciliation and formulate and agree any questions for the Finance Committee (Copy herewith)
