Please see a quick update on what’s going on with the Greater Norwich Local Plan (GNLP).
In July 2021, the plan was submitted to the Planning Inspectorate. The inspectors felt that some changes were needed to make the plan legit. They asked for public input on these changes between October 25 and December 6, 2023.
According to the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act and some regulations, the Greater Norwich Development Partnership wants you to know that the Inspectors’ Report on the GNLP is in and the plan is ready to be viewed.
You can see out the full report and modifications on the GNLP website at www.gnlp.org.uk. If you’re old-school, hard copies are available at various locations, and you can even peek at them during regular office hours.

The GNLP is set to be formally adopted on these dates:
- Norwich City Council: March 12, 2024
- South Norfolk Council: March 25, 2024
- Broadland District Council: March 28, 2024
