Redenhall with Harleston Town Council have received a continuation Notice from Norfolk County Council in relation to a temporary footpath closure for Straight Lane footpath. We have been in contact with the owner of Caltofts who has kindly provided us with an update on the work which has been completed and the next steps. As you will be aware the trees were removed over Christmas and the area is now cleared for work to begin on the wall. This will commence from 25th February 2025. As you can imagine this work is complex due to the proximity to public areas and critical service infrastructure and therefore requires a significant amount of consultation with local planning authorities, various other parties, and contractors. The timeline is dictated by the complexity of the project and the lead time of local tradespeople rather than avoidable delays on the part of Caltofts. The planning process alone has taken approximately six months. The Town Council will continue to work closely with Caltofts to ensure we can keep the community up to date with the timelines.
