We know many of you are feeling the impact of the current roadworks around the town and we completely understand your frustration.
We want to reassure you that the Town Council is in contact with Norfolk County Council regarding the roadworks and signage. All roadworks, traffic management and highways decisions are handled by Norfolk County Council, who are the designated Highway Authority for this area.
We absolutely recognise the disruption caused when multiple works overlap, particularly in a small town where diversion routes are limited. We have raised concerns about the level of coordination, traffic management, and timing of these works, and will continue to press for better planning and communication going forward.
We’re continuing to pass on your feedback and concerns to Norfolk County Council to help minimise disruption wherever possible.
