This month we’ve been in touch with the residents of properties where brackets are affixed, seeking permission to access the property to assess and, where necessary, maintain them. Thank you to those property owners who responded to us straight away.
There are one or two owners that we’ve not heard from yet. So if you own a property in the town, which has a bracket affixed, and you’ve not yet responded to our letter, please email operations@harleston-tc.gov.uk or call 01379 854519.
If you’re a resident in one of these properties, but not the owner, please ask them to get in touch with us.
The Council is committed to making sure Harleston’s heritage and community is supported. Due to the complexity of the situation with the brackets, the Council engaged an accredited structural engineer earlier this year to undertake a full assessment. This is to ensure that the brackets and their associated fixings meet required safety standards.
