If you, or anyone you know, is struggling with the heat, the Social Room in the Memorial Leisure Centre is air-conditioned and open for anyone for anyone to come and take respite, if needed. There’s a TV in the room so users are welcome to stay as long as they need to cool down.
The Social Room is open during the following hours:
Wednesday 24th June: 10am-5pm
Thursday 25th June: 11.30am-5pm
Friday 26th June: 11.30am-5pm
Saturday 27th June: 11.30am-2pm
Please let the Leisure Centre Reception team know that you’d like to use the room and they will provide assistance, if required.
Please take care and look out for friends and neighbours during this hot weather, particularly the elderly and vulnerable.
