Grants available to support our local community

Community and voluntary organisations in Redenhall and Harleston can now apply for two funding opportunities.

These financial grants are designed to support local projects, strengthen community initiatives, and provide practical support for local residents.

Whether you’re planning a new initiative or looking to develop existing work, you may be eligible for some financial support.

Redenhall with Harleston Town Council Grant

Application window: 1st–31st October 2026

Our annual Town Council grant is open to community groups based within the town, as well as organisations whose work benefits local residents.

There is no fixed grant amount. Instead, applicants are invited to tell us how much money they’re seeking, what they hope to achieve and how the funding would be spent.

Grants can support a wide range of community activities and projects. We welcome applications for new initiatives, as well as to support projects that build on or develop existing work and provide a benefit to local residents.

We know that many of our local organisations are already doing fantastic work, and we encourage previous grant recipients to apply again if they have a new project or further funding needs.

All applications are welcome and we’re pleased to consider a wide range of ideas and proposals.

Previous grants have supported organisations including Harleston Information Plus, Exchange 2, Harleston & District Historical Society and Harleston Players, helping them to continue and develop their fantastic work in the town.

For full information, guidance and application forms, visit the Grants information page.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions.

South Norfolk District Council Winter Pressures Grant

Application deadline: 30th October 2026

South Norfolk District Council is offering Winter Pressures Grants of up to £500 to help community organisations support local residents during the colder months.

Funding can support a range of winter projects, including warm food and drinks, providing warm community spaces, Christmas food hampers, and essential items such as hats, scarves and blankets. Other proposals may be considered where there is a clear local need, with priority given to costs that directly support local residents.

Previous grant recipients are welcome to apply again, including for the same activity, provided the proposal meets the current criteria. Applications are considered together rather than on a first-come, first-served basis.

For full criteria, guidance and information on how to apply, visit South Norfolk and Broadland Winter Pressures Grant.
