NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the A140 Norwich Road from its junction with B1527 Hempnall Road to its junction with U71007 St Michaels Road in the TOWN OF LONG STRATTON because of NCC road marking and stud works.
The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) between 19:00 and 06:00 from:- 1) 8th to 9th July 2022; and 2) 18th to 19th July 2022 for the duration of the works expected to be about 2 evenings within the period.
Alternative route is via: A140 Norwich Road, Ipswich Road, Ipswich Road Southern Bypass Roundabout, A47 Trunk Road, A146 Loddon Road, Norwich Road Loddon Bypass, Beccles Road, A143 Yarmouth Road, Broome Bypass, Bungay Road, Old Railway Road, Harleston Bypass, High Road, Brockdish Needham Bypass, Scole Road, Lower Street, Scole Stuston Bypass, A140 Stuston Bypass, Scole Bypass, Dickleburgh Bypass, Ipswich Road, The Street (Chedgrave, Burston and Shimpling, Bungay, Stoke Holy Cross, Ditchingham, Newton Flotman, Swainsthorpe, Wortwell, Needham, Redenhall with Harleston, Ellingham, Pulham Market, Tivetshall, Holverston, Brome and Oakley, Trowse with Newton, Stockton, Stuston, Thurton, Bergh Apton, Kirby Bedon, Yelverton, Loddon, Sisland, Alburgh, Saxlingham Nethergate, Dickleburgh and Rushall, Denton, Earsham, Wacton, Hellington, Broome, Kirby Cane, Long Stratton, Keswick and Intwood, Gillingham, Ashby St. Mary, Caistor St. Edmund and Bixley, Scole, Alpington, Hales, Framingham Pigot, Brockdish, Tasburgh).
(If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order).
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
